My Poster

This is my poster. I decided that I wanted to keep the same colours as my digipak as the audience will associate these colours with my artist. I wanted to keep my poster very simple, with only essential details. I think the picture that i used is eye-catching and is also the same picture that I rued in my digipak. I think this is effective as the audience only have a few picture that they will see which can make the audience remember my artist better. I wanted to make the alum details big to make sure the date was big as the audience will remember it better and also put the website of my artist and the record label that my artist is signed to. These details are the only details that my target audience need to know about and I wanted to keep the details limited as i think that the more simple my poster was the more effective it was.

Poster Research - Rihanna

Rihannas poster is very to the point by showing all the details. Rihanna is in big font as it stand out which is eye-catching. All the details are very short and shows everything that the audience need to know. There is a lot of information however this effective to the audience and will potentially get more fans to go to the concert. I like picture that they use in this poster as it is just a simple picture of her face, and you can instantly tell its Rihanna.

Poster Research - Beyonce

I think this poster is the best poster that I found when researching. I think the picture is a good picture to use at it is very eye catching. The fact that they only use black font which doesn't make the poster complexed at all. Beyonce is big black bold letters is very eye-catching. The picture also emphasies the title of the tour called 'Mrs Carter. I think this poster is very effective and works well.

Poster Research - Kelly Rowland

This Poster of Kelly Rowland is quite complexed which I don't like about as I there is too much text on the poster. I also don't think the text 'Kelly Rowland' stands out as there is a lot of texts around it. However I think that the picture used of Kelly Rowland is a good picture to use as it is a close up. I think there is too much different colour text on the poster, which I don't think has a good impact on the poster. I think that simple posters are more effective.

Website

For my artist  have made a website to help promote my sing as well as my artist. I have three sections on my website, 'Home' , 'About' and 'Contact'. In all three of these sections there is information about the artist.

This is the Front Cover of my website.  I wanted to keep it plain as I think it has more effect than a complicated website with loads of pictures.

This is also on my home page where the tour dates which dates and the venues.

This is the 'contact' page of my website where fans can contact the artist producer with links to facebook and twitter.

Website Reseach

Depending on what artist you are and what genre of music you sing depends on what kind of website you have.

These are examples or websites of artists that are the same genre as the song I have chosen.

Little Mix

Rihanna

Avril Lavigne

Miley Cryus

All of these websites are very different which made me realise that the website doesn't have to be based on what genre of music the artist is.  I used some of these ideas within my website to help me design my website.

Final DigiPak

This is my Front Cover of my CD cover. I thought I would keep it simple and chose my themes to be black white and red.

These are my two double page spreads, there are lyrics on the first page and a letter from the artist with a picture understand and then on the second double page spread there are another set of lyrics to another song.

This is the back of the CD cover. I put 5 songs on the back and the record company with a barcode to make it look realistic

Location and Permission Form

Location

My plan was to use a lot of different locations, however when I started filming I decided that I only wasted to use a few different locations as i wasted to make my music video more performances based than storyline based. I wanted simple background as I wanted my artist to always be in focus.

Permission Form
As the filming was only using simple backgrounds I did not have to use difficult or complicated locations, this meant that I didn't need to ask anyone else for permission except from my artist, because the locations I used were all study type rooms within either my house or my artists I did not have to ask consent.

I did however have to ask permission from Miranda to involve her in the contents of my filming. The consent form that alice signed says 'I hereby consent to act in Emily Clare’s A2 music video. She has my permission to use any of the footage involving any images of me in any way she needs to in terms of her A2 project.'

Avril Lavigne Digipak Analysis

Avril Lavigne is her fifth album which was released on the 1st November 2013 the album is a departure from her previous production and it includes more upbeat and pop sings along  with some piano ballads. She turns her album into pop rock album bu adding some punk rock songs as she used Marilyn Manson to sing with her.

The typical rock pop conventions make it pop rock conventions make it a pop rock genre C the colour also inform the audience that it is a pop rck albu. Avril Lavigne has gained general good reviews from citics who praised her and called it one of her best albums, however she has gained some critisim  where people have called it forced. The album is mainly on the top charts and making a number 1 in China and Taiwan. The target audience can be any one because the album can be liked by any one with any age also the genre involves both pop, rock, punk and ballads because the songs vary.

From Avril Lavigne she has gained three hit singles there are; Here's to Never Growing Up, Rock n Roll and Let Me Go.

Front Cover

The album is mostly black, this reflects its genre as a rock pop as rock is normally associated with black and white. The name of the album is the same of the artist which is orginal and easy remember, it is a white stencil bold font right at the bottom of the CD cover and above it is a phtoto of the artist which from her make up we can also see the genre of the CD. The CD comes with 13 songs as well as a 15 page booklet with the song information along with more photos of at the artisit. On the front of the CD there is the three singles releases.

The front cover of Avril Lavigne shows the artist and the title of the album this is for people whi may not recongise her to know who is, the photo is simple her face easy and good idea to promote the album because it isn't confusing is hard to find for example of you see this is in a shop it will catch your eyes immediately. The colours black and white fit in the genre of the album pop rock as people who see black and white automatically link it to rocl. The title is in a large bold spaced stencil font this is clear to see and understand. Avril Lavigne's face and name is clearly centered in the middle and bottom of the CD cover in order to give a clear understanding to who's album this is and catch the audiences attention.

Back Cover

The tracks on the CD are names along with the order on the back of the CD.

The back of the albym is black to maytch the front cover again, there is another photo of the artist and the tracks of the CD are listened and numbered. There is the anem of the record company and links along with the phone numbers, hash tags, distribution, barcode and so on to give credit to everyone working on the album. The colour of the barcode fits in as it is black and white which makes it look formal and in place showing the audience that is has been strictly chosen, modified and created to fit the genre and artist.

Spine

The spine of the album shows the record labels logo and the name of the album as the name of the album is the name of the artists there is no need to add twice the bold white clear don't allows the album to be clearly recgonised when on a shelf.

Disks

The CD is more inverted colours. The colours are now blue and black and the original colour scheme was black and white. This makes it more interesting and appealing to the audience may think that it looks bull and boring with only one colour scheme. The Chas 14 songs including the 3 hits Here's to Never Growing Up, Rock n Roll and Let Me Go. The disk again contains Avril's name along with the record companies name, logo and address.

Overview

- The Digipak keeps the colours black and white, occasionallly adding in different colours as; red in the photos and blue on the CD cover.
- The over all look from the make up, outfits and colour scheme we can see it as a rock pop CD as the colours are black and white and the font is in a poppy style font and spacing.
- The name od the album links to the artist name and therefore saves space rather than adding the CD name and the artists name.
- The references to everyone who worked on the CD.
- The creative look catches the audiences eyes and is easy to remember and pick out.
